Adventures of a former overseas missionary, pilot's wife, and mom of 4 girls

And we’re off…! February 28, 2012

Filed under: Travel — junglewife @ 2:44 pm

Well, tomorrow morning anyway…  We’ve moved out of the little mission house we were staying in and cleaned it all today. The trunks and duffels are all packed and in the bed of Dan’s dad’s truck, and we’re spending the night at his dad’s house tonight.  Our flight tomorrow doesn’t leave until 1:30 pm out of Seattle but in order to give us enough time to get down there (hopefully avoiding any traffic jams or accidents!) and get all checked in with enough time to spare, we’ll leave Dan’s dad’s house around 7:30 or 8 am tomorrow morning.

We would appreciate your prayers as we travel back!  We’re definitely more prepared for this trip every time we take it, and it gets a little less difficult as the girls get older, but it most definitely is not an easy trip!  I never look forward to it, and it’s hard any way you look at it. So, we’ll leave Tuesday morning and arrive in Wamena on Friday afternoon!   My next post will be from the other side 🙂

May He strengthen you as you travel back. What a long trip! Our granddaughter in Memphis drives up with two little boys which has been difficult, but last time she took Amtrak, slept all night and they were here! She’s coming again next week as her oldest is on spring break. Hopefully you feel renewed with the love of your families and your girls had the opportunity to have “grandma” hugs. We have our great grandchildren frequently. The four in the Indianapolis area come about once a month. We meet in Kokomo at an equal distance for each of us. They were here this weekend and there was a lot of love passed around. May you feel the strength of your families who give you that gift and may you stay physically and emotionally strong on this long trip.
